The wait is over… Data from our 2022 National Clearing Survey (NCS) is now available!
For the last eight years, Net Natives has worked with university partners across the U.K. to learn about their students’ experience with Clearing (For our non-U.K. readers, Clearing is the last chance to secure a place in the application cycle. And for some universities, it’s a key opportunity to make up numbers on programs that still have spaces.)
First, we conduct the National Clearing Survey to gather information from our partner universities, and then the results are analyzed by our data experts, so we can provide insights to help inform your strategies for the following year.
“The data we receive from being a part of NCS has given us invaluable insight into our Clearing applicants — not only who they are, but also their motivations, barriers, and emotions around applying through clearing,” said Ellie Hicks, campaign manager at University of Essex. “The insights we collate from this data set is the perfect starting point for driving our next Clearing strategy, enabling us to maximize the potential of our campaigns and audience targeting.”
This year’s survey received thousands of responses from students at more than 100 institutions. Here’s a sneak peek at what you’ll learn when you download our report:
- 7 out of 10 respondents say parents were a major influence in their university decisions.
- 83% of respondents were aware of their Clearing university before A level results day.
- 40% of respondents cited cost of living as a barrier to education.
