Hertfordshire County Council

Facebook Website, Facebook Advertising and Google Advertising

Net Natives created a fantastic Facebook website for us which clearly defines our mission, and the advertising campaign meant we saw an unprecedented response from potential foster carers. Thanks Natives!

Hertfordshire County Council

When you provide such a fantastic service for your community, you’ll be wondering how to spread your message to as many people as possible. We Natives knew we could help out with our Facebook and Google expertise, and got in touch to show them how.

The Challenge?

Hertfordshire’s brief was simple. They wanted to encourage enquiries about fostering opportunities in Hertfordshire, and see a higher number of prospective carers register their interest. We decided to create a comprehensive Facebook website with clear calls-to-action (CTAs) and which would share information about the great services Hertfordshire County Council provides to its young people.

What did Net Natives do?

We got swiftly to work building Hertfordshire’s Facebook website, complete with CTAs, testimonials and event information. The page provides a clear way for those interested in fostering to find out more information within the social platform, and prompts users to further engage with the Council via their Twitter stream, spreading Hertfordshire’s mission across as many online and social media platforms as possible.

After creating this great website, we then needed to get people looking at it! Our targeted Facebook and Google advertising campaigns ensured those living in the target area saw Hertfordshire’s ads, driving them through to the Facebook page where they could find out more. The adverts and their audience were fully tailored to Hertfordshire’s requirements, ensuring the responses came from only the relevant users.

The Result?

Hertfordshire County Council are using their Facebook website to great effect, providing regular updates on information events and encouraging their fans to think about fostering. The ads we created were seen nearly 700,000 times, and prompted over 600 responses.

These responses resulted in enquiries increasing 73% with the council receiving 109 enquiries in January 2012, compared with 63 enquiries in the same month in 2011.

The social workers have now had 41 initial visits booked in December and January; doubling the number from last winter and showing how many people fit the fostering profile - it just takes a bit of Natives magic to find them!

We loved working for such a great cause, knowing that such a high level of interest in fostering in Hertfordshire would convert into more stable homes for young people who need them. Get in touch to find out how we could help you recruit more carers for your community.
